Qigong combines gentle repeated movements, slow breathing and focused attention. Many forms are simple enough to learn in a few sessions and practise at home in ten to fifteen minutes a day.
People use qigong for relaxation, mobility and energy, and as a calm form of exercise during recovery. Practice can be adapted for older adults, people with limited mobility and those returning to activity after illness.
Qigong is a complement to medical care, not a replacement for it.
